Been a Long Time

If you've had a blog before then you know that there are times you just stop writing. It's kind of weird. You get so involved in the website for fits and spurts and then there are times when you just get sick of it. I'll make an effort to write some more. Thanks for checking in.

There are so many things going on in my life right now that I could write about but it just seems like every time I'm home I just want to be sitting on my butt doing nothing. Even if you haven't had a blog before you know what it's like to have a hobby that you love, but then just get sick of for a while.

Anyway...Missy closes on her first house sale in a couple of days. I'll tell you how that goes, and if you'd like to contribute to my wedding fund...Just sell your house, buy another one, and use Missy as your agent.

The Path to 9/11

I wish I knew how good the ABC mini-movie "The Path to 9/11" was going to be before the first night of it last night. I wish I could have told everyone I knew to watch it. It was only the first three hours of the five hour show, but I know tonight's segment will be just as good.

Bill Clinton is mad about the mini-movie. He's pissed because the movie reveals that he could have stopped it more than any other President. Sure he made a missile strike against the Taliban and tried to take out Osama Bin Laden, but he failed. He may be mad but I believe that most of this movie is exactly true. The first attempt at attacking America was going to be December 31st 1999. That's one year before President George W Bush took office.

Sure GW could have taken out Bin Laden, and should have, but Clinton knew years before the attack that Bin Laden was going to be a problem and he did little or nothing.

Find this show on TV and watch it. I'm sure this is not the only time it's going to air. And in memory of September 11th 2001, here's a picture of the New York City skyline. Even without the World Trade Center towers it's a moving site. Click the picture to enlarge.

Don't You Love It

A couple of months ago we had flooding rains. It was a string of days just like today. And you may remember that I took control of the Roanoke Times webcam of Victory Stadium, and snapped some pictures to put on KisforKat. All hell broke loose shortly after that as comments from the Roanoke Times website managers started rolling in.

"How could you do such a thing" and "I'm disappointed in you" were parts of just some of the letters I received. Well today, it looks like what I did, that was so wrong and disrespectful, actually gave someone at the times an idea.

Introducing the Roanoke.com Smith Mountain Lake Camera that you can control yourself. That's right, KisforKat.com does it and it's deplorable, but since it was such a good idea on my part, they are handing controls over to the general public. I should get paid for this.

So far nothing too exciting about the cam, which you can find by going to THIS LINK. But I was able to snap these photos on such a rainy day. If anyone knows the woman in the pictures...tell her I said hi!
