As I sit here tonight reading all of the comments from the last post, I am surprised at
how much attention the topic of me fooling around with the Roanoke.com webcam has gotten.
It's been two weeks since I took control of the camera, and still there are people
posting comments daily about it. In fact,
at well over 50, the last post broke the KisforKat.com record for comments. (I believe the previous record was somewhere around 12)
I've been on the radio about it and my fun, and yet stupid, stunt got me somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 to 5 thousand hits!I expected that people would post their
opinions about what I did, and I knew that some would think
it was a dumb thing to do, but I have never seen
such outrage about something so trivial in the grand scheme of things. I can see how the Roanoke Times would be upset, and I've already
apologized to the paper, but how in the world did I
personally offend people so much to get comments like...
Just because someone accidentally leaves their purse sitting on a park bench doesn't mean it's ok for you to grab their wallet and take their cash.
And...
Elliot put it out there, and now his ass is being kicked a bit. That's the way it is, now it's time for him to take it like a man....Unless the kat is a p----
Why would I get my "ass kicked" by people
that are in no way involved in the harm (if any)
that was caused? To post a comment
