My Lifelong Dream

One of my dreams came true a couple of weeks ago. I got my motorcycle license.

I took the class at Virginia Western to get the license. In fact...I got a 98 on the written test, and a perfect score on the riding test. I was the only one in the class to get the top score.

It's a really fun course and it only costs about 70 bucks for in-state tuition. Then you have to go to the DMV and take a written test. Believe me...Once you pass the test at the class, it's a cake walk at the DMV.

Now all I have to do is get a bike. If you have one I can practice on in the spring...post a comment.

Get Ready for the New Trunk Monkey

Believe it or not I've been picked to do a TV spot for Lynchburg Hyundai. We taped today and it was a lot of fun.

Pretty soon you'll see my mug every time to turn on the TV...And then some.

I think they're planning on running it through December...And into next year for certain promotions.

Smelly Kat's Election Flub

I work double duty at the radio station. I am the co-producer and co-host of the K92 Mornin' Thang, but I also work for the news station writing news stories.

Election night means I am somewhere in the area gathering vote numbers. Last night found me at the Roanoke City Registrar's office watching the Sheriff's race.

While it is usually fun working special events like that, last night turned into a disaster when every news organization in the valley called Octavia Johnson's win, long before every vote was counted, and it was all because of me.

The KisforKat Country Store

While The Captain over at BargeInn.net has had his own store for a while, I was waiting for just the right moment.

It hit me the other day when I was walking down the street in Roanoke, VA and I saw three people with those stupid "Vote For Pedro" shirts on. EVERYONE has one...and I'm fighting back.

Ego? I think so

The defenition of ego is...

An exaggerated sense of self-importance; conceit.

So when you're in the store and you see Oprah's magazine every month with her picture on the cover, how can you help but to have that word pop into your head?

It's everyone's dream to be on the cover of rolling stone, but to make your own magazine and put yourself on the cover is just over the top. I mean, come on...who wants to buy this...
