Your Chance To Help

Now giving will sound good in more ways than one.

You've been watching the coverage. You've been wondering what you can do to help. There are people sitting in polluted water waiting to be picked up and taken somewhere safe. It's hell on earth.

Here's your chance. Starting at 6AM The K92 Mornin' Thang will begin a 28 hour broadcast. We're raising money to send directly to the Red Cross to help the millions of people affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Just tune in to The K92 Mornin' Thang between 6AM Thursday September first and 10AM Friday September second to find out how you can help.

Birthday X 2

It was my birthday the 14th and Missy's was the 21st. She threw me a surprise party, so I bet you can guess what I did for her...Yep...The same thing.

We went to Rancho Viejo and I think we all know what they do for birthdays. Maybe it was a bad idea to take her there. Even though we asked the waiters not to do it...They did.

If you don't know what they do for birthdays...Here are the pictures.

Bad Things Happen to Bad People

If you need proof that good things happen to good people, and bad things happen to the damned, you need look no further than the gossip column in any newspaper around the country.

"Madonna In Hospital After Accident
Madonna celebrated her 47th birthday in the hospital with a broken collar bone, hand, and three ribs. She fell off a horse while riding around her British estate. Apparently those red Kabbalah bracelets don't work."

Thank God for small miracles.

karaoke King

It's my Birthday Sunday and my lovely girlfriend Missy threw me a surprise party at the Brambleton Deli. I was in the dark the entire way. She really pulled it off. That's the first surprise party I've been thrown.

So after the party we all headed down to All Sports for some karaoke. I turned into Toby Keith singing "I Should Have Been a Cowboy." But then Danny and I got up and sang "Bye Bye Bye." It was a crowd favorite!

Love Song-Off

This morning on the radio I performed my original love song to Missy. I've gotten a bunch of e-mails about putting it on the website and I put it on DannyandZack.com. But since I know there are a lot of people who don't listen to the show that might want to hear it...I am putting it here.

Smelly Kat's love song to Missy.

My Fat Joe Story

Fat Joe is a jerk...Let me explain.

I love meeting celebrities. It's a passion of mine, much like Danny and cooking. It thrills me to see people that I hear on the radio or watch on TV. I guess that's one of the down-falls of society but I don't care.

So while coming back from New Orleans I had a chance encounter with the man. Fat Joe was standing in line for McDonald's at Washington Dulles Airport. He stood out like a Pitt Bull in a sea of chickens. He was wearing pink and was about a foot taller than everyone else.

Danny suggested that I get my picture with the "Terror Squad" head man. Great Idea right? Well yes, I got the picture and it's neat to have, but he didn't speak a word.

I walked up the giant and said "hey Joe, can I get a picture?" To which he replied "______________." He turned to the camera, the picture was taken, and he returned to the 25 people long line.

There was no "hi" or "nice to meet you, what's your name?" as would be expected if you're a celeb.

As a famous person you meet a lot of people, if you're a good person you engage in a conversation with them, even if you're having a bad day. It comes with the job description. I got none of that from Fat Joe who was more concerned with getting fatter than talking to a semi-fan.

What a Crazy Time

New Orleans was a blast. We did it all every night. Eating, drinking, clubs...Not to mention the fact that we had a conference to go to. It's called Morning Show Boot Camp. Last year it was in LA.

I've got the picture page up so you can see all of them...But here are some highlights.

KisforKat's New Headquarters

I moved in with my lovely girlfriend Missy this week, so I've got a new office for the entity that is KISFORKAT.COM!

Here's a picture of the new digs.

Now you know where I'm sitting while I'm typing all of the stupid stuff I put up here.

By the way...I'm heading to New Orleans for a radio convention tomorrow. I won't be able to post for a few days but I'll have some great pictures and stories when I get back.

Richmond

I love Richmond and I went there this past weekend. The one difference between Roanoke and Richmond that I noticed was the restaurants. I realize that Roanoke isn't a huge city...But could we get some nice places to eat please?

Here are some pictures! What's with the shoes hanging from the power lines? And also what's with the license plate that says grundle?
