I've talked about it before here, but I'm saying it again because
we're getting close to the deadline and I need some help. I'm doing
the MDA Lock-Up again this year and there's a new feature. Now
instead of me calling you and begging you for money,
you can donate online by clicking here. My goal this year is
2,500 dollars. There is no way I can reach that without
the help of my friends. The
Muscular dystrophy Association raises money for kids like
Mattie Stepanek, a young boy who
worked hard to teach people about the disease even when he was forced into a wheelchair. Mattie touched more people in his life that I can ever dream of.
He wrote poetry and educated large groups of people.
He died at the age of thirteen almost a year ago.
There are more people than you would think,
even in this area, that can benefit from the funds The MDA raises.
The money will help families buy wheelchairs when they can't afford them, it will help kids with MD go to summer camp and meet people they can relate to, and most importantly it will help fund research so that one day we can stop all forms of MD in their tracks. Please donate.
Even five dollars helps and there is less than a month left before Lock-Up day.
